The main problem that our family faced as my son entered HS was that he wanted to do a lot of things in a specific area of interest. While we are thankful to have so many options available for learning and growing, there are only 24 hours in a day!
Geeta helped us by brainstorming about how these activities are mundane/fun from my son's perspective and important/non-important from college perspective, to help him choose the right balance. She also suggested other high-impact/low-effort and high-fun/high-importance activities and summer camps.

Being part of the school tennis team was very important for my son, which meant that he had very little time to also build up his STEM interests. Even more difficult was to research and figure out what direction would be right for him. My son attended a private school in the SF Bay Area. He has been an A student and taken many AP courses, in addition to leading the school robotics team. The school counselor covered the essentials of college admissions but we were lacking specific advice tailored to my son's ambitions and goals.
Geeta advised my son on course selection for his senior year and prioritized summer opportunities to help him clearly understand the impact of different activities in the admissions process. Many of her suggestions were not obvious or intuitive and made a huge difference in allocation of limited time and energy of an already overwhelmed high schooler. My journey started in middle school writing the first game in my parents’ basement. My goals were hefty, and thanks to Radical I am on my way to achieve them at UC Berkeley.
While I was always a CS enthusiast, we didn’t know how to reach top colleges. With Radical’s help, I was admitted to UC Berkeley as an out of state student. I also got into other top tier colleges, giving me cool options.
Radical was with me through high school, pointing me in the right direction, giving me advice on all high school activities, from coursework to summer options and everything in between. I loved that everything was so systematic and professional, that it was easy to follow the path laid out for me.
